Praised as one of the Alps last unspoilt white water spots, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the national park and nature park are this close to each other here. One simply can’t stop marvelling at nature when face-to-face with the emerald-green Salza river or the turquoise Enns river meandering through the landscape – leaving the Gesäuse mountains and the conglomerate rock ravines behind them. Offering such perfect conditions it would be a real shame not to upgrade this place to a practice ground.
The course is imparted by an experienced professional canoeist and Gesäuse expert who does not hold back on experiences, tipps and tricks. The participants must be older than 12, good swimmers and will paddle down the rivers in groups of 3 to 6 people.
This 2-day course will make the hearts of all water sports enthusiast beat faster offering spectacular panoramic views and the skills to navigate your very own canoe through the water. So in the end you will not only be able to brag about your knowledge to your family and friends, but you will also know how to put your skills into practice. While your body marks the rhythm, your brain will know how to carry out those paddling techniques that you practiced earlier. And because doing things in the right company is much more fun you will be sharing your canoeing experience with other novices.
For those who didn’t know: canoeing is not only fun when the sun is out. Also on those days when the weather is not quite up to par it will make you jump for joy. So you see: no excuses allowed.
